FLAGTREE MINIATURE AMERICAN SHEPHERDS
Pudding Pie
.
Pudding Pie got her name as a baby puppy because she was the roly-poly
"bowl of pudding" baby. She remained a bit of a chunk until she matured.
She finally lost a little weight and grew into a lovely Mini American Shepherd.
She has a fairly low-keyed temperament and is a great little house dog.
BELOW : PUDDIN' AT SEVEN MONTHS OF AGE
I had to wait to show my Pudding Pie until my knee was healed enough to make it around a ring ( nearly a year and a half of hobbling ).
She took Winners everytime she went in the ring except once when
she went Reserve. She picked up 4 majors ( all bitch points ) and then
went to the big Houston show to get her one last point to finish her
Championship - all points from the Bred-By-Exhibitor class.
Not bad for a dog who had never been shown ..... and was never even taken to a dog class in her life. Below is a photo from her first show.
Puddin' and her sister hunting for critters. Puddin' knows the rats and squirrels come to the bird feeders and will wait for her chance to try to
catch one. Made me think she would like the "Barn Hunt" sport, but it
doesn't interest her since the rats are secured in tubes for that sport
and she can't actually have one as her "prize". She does like to track
the rabbits too. So I know she has prey drive and tracking ability : )
