sire : CH. PRIZM'S CUTTING EDGE ( Ziggy )
dam : CH. PRIZM'S FUN AND GAMES ( Vegas )
Both of Moira's parents ( Ziggy and Vegas ) finished their Championships from the
AKC "bred-by-exhibitor class" with ease and they both received an Invitation to the
Eukanuba National Championship show ( but I didn't go ).
Moira is a very special girl to me because she is the only daughter I ever got from Ziggy or Vegas. Ziggy and Vegas were each 2nd generation Prizm Champions from our two foundation dogs. Vegas going back to our Marcie ( Propwash ) and Ziggy going to our Collette ( Peachcreek ) ... our two foundation dams. ( Moira's pedigree )
Moira arrived on Friday the 13th by cesarean ( just my luck ). Weighing a whopping
17 ounces at birth, by 12 days of age Moira had slipped all the way down to 8 oz.
The vet gave her about a zero percent chance of living, but I didn't give up. Around the clock attention ( tube feedings, anti-biotics & prayer), she pulled through. Since she was given a longer " thread of life ", I named her Moira, which means fate or destiny ( from mythology . . . the Moirae determine the length of life ).
Moira is intelligent, has lots of "drive", loves her toys, is a great house dog and
loves meeting new friends - plus she is game for most any activity. My kind of dog.
She earned her BN in one weekend ( 3 tries / 3 Q's ) and with decent scores
( 186 / 190 / 195 ). Considering she had never been to a dog show and had never trained on dirt, she did a great job. She also earned her AKC PCD title in just one weekend.
She really liked agility .... but ... she would "herd" me to obstacles when she thought she could get away with it ... LOL Pushing me with her nose from behind is not allowed in agility so, it was not our bonding sport.
Finding the hidden rats was one of her favorite games. She earned her Novice title with a first and second place and had 2 Open Q's before our somewhat local Barn Hunt club folded and we didn't want to travel far for that last Q. She loved hunting and taught all the dogs how to find the active gopher holes in our yard.

" OMG ...... look what I found ....... my very favorite toy that has
been missing for months ! It was next to the 97th gopher hole
that I dug up. I wonder who put it there ? "
" I am so happy ..... I will never let it slip away again. "

Moira was very enthusiastic about stock and she went to lessons with a couple of different trainers who liked her ability. Due to the expense, I was unable to continue with her stock training which was a bummer because she really had a lot of heart ( although she was a bit bossy ).

Moira had her first and only litter on July 3rd, 2014 ( at 7 years of age ).
I didn't intend to wait so long to breed her , but time got away from me.
My only other intact Ziggy kid was lost to a freak accident at the co-owner's house before he ever sired a litter, so my Moira was the key to carrying on my lines for me.
Cost me a small fortune to get these two pups from Moira. But because
her bloodlines are so special to me ( going back to our foundation dogs ), it was well worth having a next generation from her. She was such a fabulous mama. I'm so happy to have two lovely kids from her. See Rowdy and Dazzle below and by clicking HERE for more fun puppy photos : )
